A long-term design partnership
Mullis & Peake LLP are a well-established law firm covering East London and Essex, with a broad range of practice areas including family law, wills and probate, and residential and commercial property. I've been their sole designer for eight years, working directly with their two-person marketing team on everything they need across the whole business.
When I came on board the firm already had an established brand. My job was to work within those guidelines, keep everything consistent, and produce materials across multiple practice areas, each with its own audience and communication needs. Over time, as the firm grew and the market got more competitive, it became clear the brand needed to do more. After several years of gradually evolving the look, I made the case for a proper refresh.

The 2025 rebrand gave the firm a bold new colour palette built with accessibility in mind, more characterful typography and a refined logo that works better across the full range of formats a busy firm actually needs. The aim was to give Mullis & Peake more personality and visibility while keeping the approachable, professional feel their clients expect.

✎ Suite of service leaflets

Since the rebrand I've rolled out a suite of over 15 leaflets covering every area of the business, press advertising, a range of digital guides for marketing campaigns, and a full set of rebranded banners for business networking events. I've also built a social media toolkit in Canva, templates the team can use independently to keep content going out consistently without having to come back to me for every post.

Eight years in, Mullis & Peake have a modern, cohesive brand that works across print, digital and social. The Canva toolkit has made a real difference to how much content the team can produce. They're putting out more, experimenting with new formats, and their social visibility has improved noticeably as a result. What started as occasional design support has continued to expand and now covers most of their marketing and event materials. And even some internal training guides.

Creating and maintaining a range of easy to use templates in Canva has helped save the marketing team time and budget.

"After nearly a year of using the social media toolkit we think it looks so much better and engagement is up so I am keen to expand this."
